Martin Solveig is an unprecedented musical genius. More bangers than Bach, creativity higher than Beethoven, and most certainly more iconic than the Beatles, this Swedish (?) dude has got it all. And his one secret? Only using 5 notes per song.
Take a listen:
All of these songs follow the same basic formal. Find a 4-5 note melody that sounds good as hell and then just repeat it over and over and over. Add a female vocalist singing a counter line, some simple drums, lyrics about absolutely nothing, and you’ve got a 1000% guaranteed hit.
Non one does it like Solveig. No one.
