After completing a sold out show in downtown Kansas City, classic rock band Dire Straits recently found themselves in a bit of a conundrum. “It kinda hit us out of nowhere,” said lead guitarist Mark Knopfler, when speaking about the real stinker of a situation that Dire Straits finds themselves in. “Not much we can do about it you know? We just kind of have to deal with this big ol mess we’re in.”
While Knopfler wouldn’t go as far as to say that Dire Straits was up shit creek without a paddle, he was willing to say that it seemed like the band had never been in a pickle like this before and that he really hoped they could “make it out of these troubled waters we currently find ourselves in”. As of the writing of this article there has been no word on whether or not Dire Straits has been able to find a way through these troubled times.
