The United States was built on genocide and slavery. The mass murder of the Indigenous peoples of America and the mass murder and enslavement of Africans are the two things that allowed the United States to prosper. It was not “freedom of speech” or “religious freedom” or “Protestant Work Ethic” that created the United States as we know it. These are all thin veneers placed over our history by our elite in order to make themselves feel comfortable basking in the trillions of dollars of blood money they’ve accumulated over the years.
It is up to us to realize this, and work to bring the atrocities of not just the present day, but the past, to light. The true history of America must be taught at a young age, not gleaned from offhand comments, college classes, or the one cool high school history teacher you had. Our current primary and secondary system of indoctrinating students with backward ideas about the Founding Fathers, the Constitution, etc. etc., has done more than its fair share to help create the political culture necessary for fascism to exist.
Until we confront our nation’s history head on, there can be no move forward. It must be realized that the institutions and offices we have been trained to protect from birth are not in place to help the majority, but are there to protect the live and property of but a small few. It has always been this way, and will be continue to be so, until something changes. Police, the Presidency, Congress, the Supreme Court, etc etc, are all institutions designed specifically to block people from gaining access to power. The historical record is there, it must be brought to light and available for all to see.
